Education Internship at A Rocha UK, 2017

A Rocha UK’s education intern will help run environmental encounters, park specials, summer playschemes – and more – in Hayes (Minet) and Southall (Wolf Fields), west London.

The intern will create enjoyable activities to make children appreciate that – as well as the celebratory ‘wow factor’ in appreciating wildlife and wild places – there is a need to help them understand the current precarious state of many species and ecosystems.

The successful candidate will assist and support the Education Officer in carrying out the full education programme. That includes the planning and preparation of resources to deliver interactive, fun, stimulating outdoor learning experiences.

In addition, we need to communicate our Christian hope that A Rocha UK stands for in terms of being good stewards for the future. The schools work will be linked to the national curriculum 2014.

This a part time role at the headquarters of A Rocha UK, London. Closing date for applications is Friday 17th April 2017. Interviews are planned for later in the month, and the successful candidate will start later in April.
