Help us help others to reconnect with nature

We’re launching a new programme! Designed to help individuals and families to engage with nature, it will be packed full of ideas for people to get stuck into – from what to put in your bird feeder in December to when to plant your tomatoes in the spring, to stomping in the autumn leaves (with or without children).

MONTHLY EMAIL

But we want your help!

What has helped you and your family to enjoy nature throughout the year? Which verses of Scripture do you read when you’re feeling ‘green’? Where do you go to find God’s glory reflected in creation? We’ll be sending a monthly email out to subscribers, with a reflection on how nature at that time of year relates back to our faith, ideas and tips for practical things people can do and ways to get involved in the national debate around protecting nature and the environment.

The statistics suggest more and more people are becoming disconnected from nature. This is a tragedy, particularly for Christians who are missing out on a wonderful way of engaging with God. Your ideas can help a family to join together in rediscovering the wonder and beauty of the natural world, so please don’t hold back — better to send in the same idea as someone else than to leave it unsaid!

SEND YOUR IDEAS

We’ll be presenting the ideas every month throughout the year, so it would be really helpful if you could say which month your idea would be most appropriate. We’re particularly keen to get ideas that work between April and September, as these will be the first emails that we create.

Please send your ideas to Rich Bee, Engagement Director, at rich.bee@arocha.org. We will, of course, announce the launch of the project here, on our website and across our social media channels. Thank you! (Photo of autumn leaves by Janice Price)
