The Eco Church North West: Continuing Our Pilgrimage To Net Zero online conference will take place online on Saturday 24 April 2021 from 10am-3pm. Andy Atkins, CEO of A Rocha UK and is chair of the Climate Sunday Campaign, will talk about how the global climate emergency links to local level and how churches can take local action through the Eco Church framework. There will be practical workshops on each of the main aspects of Eco Church. Other guest speakers include Maria Alejandra Andrade Vinueza, Ecuadorian sociologist and theologian, who will also provide some theological insights into the climate emergency from a Latin American perspective.

The Eco Church South East: Going Beyond Bronze online conference on 8 May, 10am-1pm is for churches that have already achieved a Bronze Eco Church award but would like some ideas on how to progress beyond this.

Our Climate and Pastoral Care: processing grief for the planet webinar on 11 May, 2-3.30pm will be exploring how the effects of climate change and biodiversity loss are already with us and affecting us all, especially the younger generation and how the church can respond pastorally. 

Churches Count on Nature (5-13 June). An initiative open to all denominations, is a nature-recording project which will be piloted by Caring for God’s Acre and the Church of England, in partnership with A Rocha UK. Participating churches will be encouraged to act for wildlife by recording nature in their church yards, spaces and burial grounds or nearby land.

Our Church Demonstration Days are for representatives of churches, Eco Churches or not, interested in exploring options for nature conservation on a small patch of land (such as your church yard or community land nearby). A Rocha UK invites churches of all denominations to our Church Demonstrations Days on the following dates: 10 July at our rural reserve, Foxearth Meadows, in north Essex and 18 September at our urban reserve, Wolf Fields in Southall. More details to be announced on our events webpage shortly, please save the date.

Climate Sunday. A pre-COP26 initiative for all denominations to get involved in. The new website, recently launched , is packed with ideas and resources to help you and your church to organise a Climate Sunday service any Sunday of your choosing up to 5 September.
