We live in a world suffering from both a climate and biodiversity crisis. The UN Climate Conference COP27 is a critical moment for the world’s national governments to scale up action to address the climate crisis in response to the scientific evidence of the need for much greater urgency, the injustice of the impacts on people and countries, and recognising the strong links between the biodiversity and climate crises.
As world leaders gather for negotiations in Egypt, we urge the UK government to put climate action at the heart of domestic and international policy making.
