One event highlight of 2022 was our moth event coinciding with the national ‘Moth Night’.
At Foxearth Meadows, our rural reserve, a total of six traps were run with 47 species recorded, including four different species of hawk-moth – Eyed, Lime, Poplar and Elephant – which are always crowd-pleasers, along with a number of other interesting species such as Swallow Prominent, Coxcomb Prominent, Iron Prominent, Orange Footman, White Ermine, Lime-speck Pug, Blood-vein, Muslin Moth, Clouded-bordered Brindle, Small Clouded Brindle and Light Emerald to name a few.
