Champions cheer our appeal

Champions of God’s earth are boosting our latest appeal – by sharing their stories with you through a new series of ‘guest blogs’ on our website.

These are people already working hard to ensure that Christians lead the way in caring for God’s earth. And we want you to hear their stories as part of our new appeal.

Our new appeal – Help us to show that Christians care for God’s earth – asks for your help to make the Christian voice on nature protection heard.

As Britain prepares to leave the EU, policies affecting nature protection in the UK are being decided right now. So we need to get Christian churches, centres and individuals moving fast to show their care for God’s earth. That will give us a real chance of making a difference.

The blogs demonstrate what caring for God’s earth means in real terms. The stories will inspire readers to take action in their own lives and churches.

The first blog is by Izzy Sibley, Eco Church representative from Lyme Regis Baptist Church. She shares the journey her church has followed since registering to become an Eco Church. They’re currently silver award holders – now working towards their gold!

The series will also include contributions from Deborah Colvin of St James’s Church, Piccadilly, on lifestyle choices – and a representative from our Partner in Action, Lee Abbey, Devon, on practical conservation.

‘We face a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a real difference to the laws that govern how we use our natural environment,’ said Engagement Director Rich Bee. ‘We’re equipping Christians to make their voice heard, so we can ensure nature is protected. To do that, we need your help!’ Read the blog and donate now(link)!
