We’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Christian Environmental Mobilisers (CEMs) online course.

This six-session course will equip you with biblical foundations, as well as leadership, influencing and action planning skills, to inspire others and mobilise meaningful environmental action in your church, workplace, university or community.

Whether you’re taking your first steps in leading others or are already inspiring change, this course will help you grow as an effective and faithful environmental leader by enhancing your leadership, mobilisation and self-care skills.

We have 200 places  available on our October 2026 – April 2027 course. A set number of places are allocated for each nation in the UK and they will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis, so to avoid disappointment, please apply as soon as you can.

What is the Christian Environmental Mobilisers course?

Over the years, A Rocha UK has been privileged to meet many incredible, local mobilisers who champion environmental action. Whether in churches, in youth groups, in our partners or through Wild Christian, many tell us the same thing – they want to make even more impact, but would value some support, training and encouragement.

In response, and after much prayer, discernment and consultation, we’re launching the first CEMs course in autumn 2026!

Across six interactive online sessions, you’ll gain:

  • A strong biblical understanding of creation care
  • A deeper understanding of the climate and nature crises
  • Practical leadership and action planning skills to help you engage others
  • An opportunity to develop your own Environmental Action Plan
  • Confidence to mobilise people towards lasting environmental change.

Who is the course for?

This course is designed for anyone who wants to inspire others to care for God’s creation. You may already be leading environmental initiatives and looking for fresh ideas, practical tools and encouragement. Or you may have a passion for creation care and be wondering how to get others involved.

Whatever your start-point, you’ll join a supportive learning community of Christians from across the UK, from a range of denominations and backgrounds, all committed to responding faithfully and courageously to the climate and nature crises.

To enrich the course we want to welcome participants from across the breadth of the UK. Therefore if you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland we would really encourage you to apply.

Together we’ll learn, share ideas, encourage one another, and grow as leaders.

Course cost

Participants will be asked to make a nominal contribution of £25 towards the cost of the course. We don’t want this to prevent anyone from taking part though, so if this would be a barrier for you, please contact Rachel Tully, Course Coordinator, at mobilise@arocha.org.

We’re now putting the finishing touches on the course and will share more information soon. Be sure to check back on this page and apply today!
