Can you pledge to play your part?
Does the idea of more than doubling the number of churches acting on climate change and nature excite and inspire you? I think it’s possible – with the support of Christians like you, who care deeply for people affected by climate change and its devastating impact on nature, we are working hard to see 20,000 Eco Churches by 2030. Just imagine more churches reducing their carbon footprint.

We all need some good news to keep going, right?
Here’s some news that had us jumping for joy. Holy Redeemer isn’t a large church. But as Ingrid, their Eco Church Rep says, “we do have a large love for God’s creation” and are deeply concerned about climate change.
Holy Redeemer’s journey started off with one person – Ingrid, finding out about Eco Church as she was researching how to combine her care for the planet and her faith. That was in 2018, fast-forward to 2024 and her church has been awarded one of only 60 (at the time of writing) Gold Eco Church awards!
She tells us that at first, changes were small, starting with switching cleaning supplies and stopping using plastic cups. More people caught Ingrid’s enthusiasm for responding to climate change and caring for creation, and over the last few years, they’ve made affordable building changes that have reduced their carbon footprint and decreased their energy consumption.
The Eco Church questionnaire was crucial.

Eco Church is specifically designed to enable individuals, groups and leaders who want to make a difference but do not know where to start. The survey breaks down what can feel like an overwhelming task into bite-size actions on a journey towards understanding how God calls his Church to care for his creation. There are well researched guides that explain each step and help churches journey towards faithful stewardship of God’s creation.
Today, we’re asking for gifts that could help more people like Ingrid keep going in taking their churches on their Eco Church journey.
Every continent of the world is seeing the dramatic impacts of climate change on both people and nature. As COP29 approaches – the international climate summit – the latest research highlights how much all of society needs to take faster action. The church can lead the way on this, and with generous Christians like you alongside, Eco Churches like Holy Redeemer, are rising to the challenge – in fact, nearly 8000 churches are signed up for action.
Thank you for spreading the love for God’s creation and keeping people like Ingrid going on their Eco Church journey.
Together, we can take action against climate change.
Step by step. All for God’s glory.
Thank you.
