Join us to call on the UK government to take urgent action on the climate crisis on 21st April in central London.
The climate crisis is destroying nature, our common home, while those who have done the least to cause the crisis are being hit the hardest by the effects. We are heading towards a climate catastrophe. And yet, the UK government is going against scientific advice and international commitments by licensing a whole new round of exploration for oil, gas and coal in the UK.
Join us from 11.15am at St John’s Church, Waterloo, London as we gather with supporters from many other Christian organisations to pray together, call on the UK government to invest in climate solutions and declare that we have no faith in fossil fuels.
The service will begin at noon and from there we will walk on a short pilgrimage to Westminster to join the gathering calling for an end to fossil fuels. The main protest at parliament is being organised by Extinction Rebellion with the vision of gathering 100,000 people to peacefully and lawfully demand that the UK government take action on climate change.
