Action, adventure and monasticism make an unlikely mix. But they merge together in a new batch of internships launched by A Rocha UK and its Partners In Action network.

A Rocha UK’s national team based in West London need an intern to engage with supporter relations and communications.

‘This role is for someone who’d love to get others on board with a good cause and learn how charities work,’ said Operations Director Steve Deall. The successful candidate will have a key role as part of the front-of-house team, working closely with senior staff and multiple departments.

‘If you want to take supporter engagement to the next level – while gaining valuable experience and connections in the NGO world – this role could be for you,’ he explained. For more information contact Steve.

Outdoor youth ministry partner Adventure Plus have joined forces with A Rocha UK to create yet another opportunity. Hot on the heels of an established internship, this one focuses on the Oxfordshire group’s natural resources.

‘We’re looking for the right person to help design a site layout for an outdoor youth work centre and implement a site management plan,’ said Conservation Director Andy Lester.

‘The site is in its initial phase, with many areas for development. This role is made for someone with a passion for the natural environment. The successful candidate will help create a beautiful, sustainable place.’

Hilfield Friary, another partner, is looking for a conservation volunteer. The Dorset-based Anglican Franciscan community is offering an opportunity for a young adult (aged 19-30) with an interest in sustainability.

‘Our friends at Hilfield have a rich community life with a rhythm of prayer,’ said Andy Lester. ‘There’s a variety of ways in which the successful candidate can get involved.’ For further information contact Andy.
