Sam Dawson, Community and Conservation Intern, 2019-2020

I joined A Rocha UK’s internship programme in 2019, after hearing the ways that A Rocha UK cares for the environment practically. Based at the Southall office and at Wolf Fields urban nature reserve has given me the opportunity to learn more about critical environmental issues and demonstrate my faith in a practical way. During my internship, I have heard from key voices in the conservation sector and been part of tangible ways that Christians are making a difference in caring for creation. My time with A Rocha UK has allowed me to further develop my passion and knowledge of conservation in a way that will benefit my degree as well as any future career in the conservation sector.
