• Churches catalogue creatures
    January 8, 2014
Churches from across England and Northern Ireland helped us trial a churchyard recording project this past summer.

From the four churches that entered records, 400 specimens were spotted! For a summary report on their species finds and feedback on the pre-pilot, read here. Thank you again to all that took part!

  • Christmas is Coming!
    November 21, 2013 Christmas Tree

As the festive season approaches, do not forget to care for creation. After exchanging gifts and eating lots of yummy food, remember that all the paper, cardboard and plastic wrapping can be recycled! So separate it from your other rubbish. Many local councils collect all these different materials from your front door. However if this is not the case, just put it aside and the next time you make a trip to the supermarket, you can easily find the different coloured recycling containers.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  • Tree Planting!
    November 21, 2013 Oak Tree

On Saturday the 30th of November in Lea Brook Valley, Dronfield (near Sheffield), from 9.30am the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust staff will be joining with members of the public to plant trees. We will meet at the junction of Gosforth Drive and Coniston Road, then be shown exactly what to do. It will help if you can bring a spade and some lunch but the shops are nearby. It will be an enjoyable and worthwhile day. Help us to plant 1000 trees.
