“I decided to volunteer for A Rocha because it provided a good opportunity to spend a significant amount of time to acquire a range of valuable experience, particularly in terms of species and habitat surveys and identification skills. It was also an opportunity to understand further what A Rocha was about and to meet and learn from others who have different skills and experiences to share. I am now working full time for Mott MacDonald Ltd in their Environment Division as a Graduate Ecologist. I have no doubt that my experiences with A Rocha helped me to get an interview and to get the job offer. My current assignments include conducting Phase 1 and walk-over surveys, desk-studies for reports and protected species surveys.”
