The Season of Creation (also known as Creationtide) is a time observed by denominations globally to reflect specifically on God’s wider creation, His relationship to it and our own relationship with it. During this five week period, 1 September – 4 October, Christians and churches are invited to pray, act and use their voice to advocate for creation.
Can you ask your church to join with thousands of others worldwide to mark this special time and support nature?
If you are someone who puts together church services or gatherings, or you know somebody who does, we have put together a range of resources you can use out of the box, or adapt to your church setting.
Some churches may focus one of the five Sundays on the Season of Creation, and use simple Season of Creation opening prayers on the other Sundays (find some below). Some churches may theme all five weeks around the Season of Creation, and others may set challenges around nature and the climate – how you and your church setting might observe it is up to you.
However you choose to do so, use this resources page for all you need this Season of Creation, from a weekly service plan, to worship songs, ideas for children’s ministry, and more!

This year’s theme is ‘Living water.’
Around 600 years before the birth of Jesus, 30-year-old Ezekiel, an apprentice priest in exile, took on a prophetic role and wrote of a time when water flows out from under the temple, when ‘swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows’ and ‘fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river’. This year’s Season of Creation (1 September-4 October) is rooted in Ezekiel 47:9 and 12.
Denominations across the world are calling on Christians to become ‘part of God’s river, joining creation’s healing’. Thousands of churches worldwide will be taking part. Will yours be one of them?

The new song ‘Renovation’ written by Andy Flannagan, was released for the Season of Creation 2025. Chord sheets, lyrics, and resources are available to help your church join in the song of praise for creation.
During this Season of Creation, we are asking churches to consider taking an offering for A Rocha UK, to enable us to continue caring for and protecting God’s creation. As the only national, Christian conservation charity in the UK, we rely on the support of Christians and churches to fulfil the call to look after the land He has given us.
Could you ask your church to support nature this Season of Creation by taking an offering to support A Rocha UK?

Webinar recording: What does peace with creation look like? (Season of Creation theme, 2025)
It was wonderful to have so many of you join us for our webinar on 2 October, marking the beginning of the Season of Creation and exploring this year’s theme – peace with creation.
We heard from Kiki Rokhum, part of the global steering committee for the Season of Creation and Director of Church Engagement at A Rocha International, sharing more about how this year’s theme has come about and how people are taking part in Season of Creation globally. Sarah Leedham, Reserve Manager at Foxearth Meadows nature reserve, shared a reflection on experiencing peace with creation at the reserve, and Andy Atkins, A Rocha UK CEO, shared his personal experience of finding peace through nature as a teenager. We were also joined by Andy Flannagan, introducing his new song ‘Renovation’, launched as part of the Season of Creation.
